Clare Price - Owner operator

Obsessed with plants, water, and all that is alive! I started Western Family in 2026 to support private property owners to transform their yards into little restoration projects.

Before that I spent twelve years operating and managing market gardens and growing vegetable seed in Northern New Mexico: Red Mtn Farm (Abiquiu), Reunity Resources (Santa Fe/Oga Po'geh), Western Family Farm (La Puebla), and Ojo Caliente Resort (Posi-Ouinge), and here and there in Dixon, Santa Cruz, and La Cienega.

I was the Mayordoma on the JP Gonzales Acequia, and a parciente on many others.

I worked as a Nutrition educator and School Garden Coordinator creating and implemented related curriculum for children in the Public Schools through Santa Fe community partner Cooking with Kids where I designed and built vegetable, native plant, and rain gardens through partnerships with SFPS staff and Facilities departments.

I have certificates in Seed breeding and production, Southwest grain history and production, School garden education, and soon to complete a Water Harvesting Design Certificate course.
